Popstar!: Você tem grandes fãs! Qual foi um encontro que te cativou?David: Parece que elas sabem tudo sobre mim, mesmo coisas que elas não deveriam saber, sabe? É como "Whoa, Nelly!" Eu disse que gostava de Nutter Butters uma vez e, na hora, eu recebi pacotes e pacotes em um só dia! Mas eu divido - é sempre bom ganhar muito de uma coisa, você consegue dividir mais facilmente. Elas já sabem que eu gosto de comida tailandesa- elas até me mandam comida tailandesa. Você precisa ficar atento ao que diz! (risos!)
Popstar!: Você atuou recentemente, quando foi convidado pelo programa iCarly da Nickelodeon. Gostaria de atuar mais no futuro?
David: É ainda sou novo nisso, mas acho que seria muito divertido continuar fazendo. Eu estava nervoso e ao ver o quão divertido é, você pensa "Isto seria tão legal de fazer!" Quero dizer, me diverti muito lá. Mas você precisa ter uma boa memória, então eu teria que trabalhar isso!
Popstar!: Que conselho você teria para futuros competidores do American idol?
David: Haverá, definitivamente, muito trabalho a ser feito, mas compensa. Se você quer fazer isso, vai te ajudar. É um bom treinamento. Se você consegue lidar com isso, então, provavelmente, você está pronto para o trabalho que uma carreira musical demanda. É muito trabalho e você não fica com muito tempo livre, mas se você gosta de cantar e tal, então, definitivamente, é pra você, porque é muito divertido!
Popstar!: Você falou antes que tem amigos que gostam da série "Crepúsculo". Quais são alguns dos seus livros favoritos?
David: Eu li Harry Potter. Só li o primeiro e não sei porque este foi o único livro que eu li, porque eu gostei tanto deste livro. Eu li o dia inteiro e foi o único livro que eu li em um único dia. Eu normalmente levo um tempo. Eu amo os filmes do Harry Potter!

David: They know everything about me it seems, even stuff they shouldn’t know, you know? It’s like, “Whoa, Nelly!” I said that I like Nutter Butters one time and instantly, I get like packs and packs in one day! I share, though- that’s always good about getting a lot of stuff, you can share it a lot easier. They already know I love Thai food- they even send me Thai food. You have to be smart about what you say! [Laughs!]
Popstar!: You recently did some acting when you guest-starred on the Nickelodeon show iCarly. Would you like to do more acting in the future?
David: I’m pretty (darn?) new to it, but I think it would be so much fun to keep doing it. I was nervous about it and just to see how fun it already was - it’s like, “This would be so cool to do!” I mean they’re all just hanging out and having a good time there. You need a good memory, though, so I’d have to work on that!
Popstar!: What advice do you have for future contestants on American Idol?David: There’s definitely going to be a lot of work ahead of them, but it’s so worth it. If you want to do this, it will help you out. It’s such good training, if you can handle this, then you’re probably ready for putting in the work that it takes to have a singing career. It is a lot of work and you don’t get too much free time, but if you like singing and stuff then it is definitely for you because it’s so much fun!
Popstar!: You’ve mentioned before that you have friends who are into the Twilight series. What are some of your fave books?
David: I’ve read Harry Potter. I’ve only read the first book and I don’t know why that’s the only book I’ve read, because I was so into that book. I read it all day and I think that was the only book I read in a day. I usually take my time. I love the Harry Potter movies!
