Novo Blog do final de semana!
Oi pessoal. Espero que vocês estejam tendo uma ótima semana. Essa semana está sendo bem doida para mim. Eu tenho trabalhado muito nas "memórias" que estou escrevendo, mas está sendo desafiador, porque não estou acostumado a escrever e pensar sobre eu, o tanto quanto eu tenho com esse livro lol. É muito legal mesmo assim, porque muitas das coisas que você pode ter esquecido sobre o seu passado, começam a ser revividas, quando você pensa demasiadamente nos acontecimentos e lembranças que possui na sua mente, mas isso pode se tornar um bocado desgastante, porém elas estão lá mesmo assim, você apenas precisa de um momento para ponderar haha.
Tem sido um desafio com tudo que nós temos que fazer, o projeto também, mas estou ansioso para ver até onde posso me acostumar com isso. Além do livro, eu tenho trabalhado em mais composições e gravações essa semana. Tive a oportunidade de passar mais um tempo com o Eman essa semana, e estou muito feliz com a canção que terminamos de compor. Eu também gravei uma outra canção poucos dias atrás, no estúdio dele, a qual eu acho tem uma grande mensagem. Eu não tive como me focar muito em música essa semana, com todo o trabalho para terminar o livro, mas eu estarei acelerando os motores semana que vem de volta em LA.
Então agora estou novamente em Miami, e tive uma experiência incrível aqui. Tive a oportunidade de fazer parte do projeto espanhol de We Are The World - "Somos El Mundo" e foi muito legal!! Emilio e Gloria Estefan organizaram o projeto juntamente com sua equipe, as quais são as pessoas mais legais com quem você pode trabalhar. Essa é a primeira vez que eles gravaram essa canção em espanhol, então eu estou muito agradecido por ter sido parte disso, junto com muitos talentosos artistas latinos. Eu adoro quando as pessoas se reúnem para ajudar, porque é realmente impressionante a quantidade de força vem, quando as pessoas se reúnem. Foi ótimo poder ajudar no Teleton Hope for Haiti e ver a força que vem de todos se unindo para ajudar as pessoas no Haiti. Há poder nos números. O estrago aconteceu tão depressa no Haiti, e agora eles precisam se recuperar de tudo o que aconteceu por lá. Eu estava assistindo ao noticiário na noite passada e vi que Kris Allen foi ao Haiti para ajudar. Muito legal, eu pensei. Eu tenho acompanhado tudo que ele tem feito para as outras pessoas. Eu sei que ele fez um monte de trabalho missionário em vários lugares e países diferentes, e acho que as pessoas devem fazer mais isso. Mesmo se você não puder ir para um país diferente, você ainda pode ajudar enviando doações para boas causas, ou ajudar as pessoas que podem necessitar de sua ajuda até mesmo no seu próprio país, estado ou cidade.
Estar na gravação Somos El Mundo de ontem foi a minha primeira vez perto de tantos artistas latinos. Eu estava muito nervoso com as entrevistas e por ser uma nova cara no meio daquele pessoal, mas foi muito divertido ao mesmo tempo e um monte de gente muito simpática. Foi bom ver PeeWee lá, e Ednita Nazario foi incrivelmente agradável! Jon Secada, Cristian Castro, Ricardo Montaner, Chayanne, Thalia, e Luis Fonsi foram algumas das pessoas de lá. Eu estava em estado de choque e pensei que ia desmaiar quando eu conheci Luis Fonsi lol. Ele é um cantor incrível. O vídeo será estreiado na TV Univision , no dia 1 de março na Cristina. Ela é uma apresentadora muito popular da comunidade hispânica, se você ainda não a conhece. Ela estava lá ontem também, e é louco ver ela ali, porque ela é uma daquelas pessoas que eu nunca pensei que iria conhecer. Lembro-me de vê-la quando eu era pequeno. Bom, escrevi o suficiente por hoje, por isso vou falar com vocês mais tarde! Thau!

Hey guys! Hope you guys have been having a good week. This week has been pretty crazy for me! I've been working a lot on the memoir that I've been working on, and it can be pretty challenging since I'm not used to writing and thinking about myself as much as I have to with this book lol. It's really cool though because a lot of the things you may have forgotten about in your past start to come back when you start thinking hard and a lot about events and memories you have back there in your brain that might be a little rusty. They're still there though, you just have to really take some time to ponder haha. It's been challenging with all the other things we've had to do with the project too, but I'm looking forward to seeing how everything comes together at the end and sometimes it's good to challenge yourself farther than you may normally be used to!
Other than the book, I've also been working on some more writing and recording this week. I got to spend more time with Eman this week and I'm really pumped about the song we finished writing! I also recorded another song a few days ago at his studio which I think has a great message to it. I haven't been able to get into music as much this week with all the work I've had to finish with the book, but I'll be kickin' back into gear next week back in LA.
So now I'm back in Miami, and I've had such an awesome experience here! I was able to be a part of the Spanish We Are the World project "Somos El Mundo" and it was really great! Emilio and Gloria Estefan got the project together, and they along with their staff are some of the nicest people you could ever work with. This is the first time they've ever done this song in Spanish, so I'm really glad to have been a part of it with so many talented Latin artists. I love it when people come together to help out, because it really is amazing how much strength comes when people come together. It was neat being able to help in the Hope for Haiti telethon and see how much good came from everyone coming together to unite to help the people in Haiti. There's power in numbers. The damage happened so quickly in Haiti, and now they need to recover from all that has happened there. I was watching the news last night and saw that Kris Allen went out to Haiti to help out. I thought that was so cool. I really look up to him for all that he does for other people. I know that he's done a lot of missionary work in a lot of different places and countries, and I think people should do things like that more. Even if you aren't able to go to a different country, you can still help by sending donations to good causes, or help out the people who may need your help even in your own country, state, or town.
Being at the Somos El Mundo recording yesterday was my first time being around and meeting so many Latin artists. I was pretty nervous with the interviews and being new to that crowd, but it was really fun at the same time and a lot of really nice people. It was good to see PeeWee there, and Ednita Nazario was incredibly nice! Jon Secada, Cristian Castro, Ricardo Montaner, Chayanne, Thalia, and Luis Fonsi were some of the people there. I was like in shock and thought I was going to pass out when I met Luis Fonsi lol. He's such an amazing singer. The video will premiere on Univision March 1st on Cristina. She's a very popular Hispanic talk show host if you aren't familiar with her. She was there yesterday as well, and it was crazy seeing her there because she's just one of those people I never thought I'd get to meet. I remember watching her when I was little. But anyway I've written enough for today, so I will talk to you guys later! Ciao!
